A Place at 221B
A new addition to the Sherlock Holmes Collections.
The Sherlock Holmes Collections at the University of Minnesota Library constitute the world’s largest gathering of material related to Sherlock Holmes and his creator Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. An inquiry to curator Timothy J. Johnson brought a favourable response, so a limited-edition hardback copy of Old Marvel, The Scientific Detective was promptly dispatched.
Among Mr. Johnson’s kind remarks were these: “Mr. Holmes left a copy of your beautiful book in the sitting room at 221B Baker Street, which I managed to capture in a few photos. It is a delightful addition to our collections. I was fascinated by the resemblance to Holmes and that Old Marvel came before Holmes appeared on the scene. Well done!”
